Our Story

Train Biomedics Initiative Uganda, is Ugandan based non-for profit organization founded by MUBANGIZI CRISPUS a biomedical engineer. Who have worked with several hospitals and realized the need for biomedical engineering teams at such facilities as patients have continued to receive wrong and delayed diagnosis, therapy and treatment due to use to use of faulty and non-calibrated/serviced equipment and devices in hospitals.

It also aims at bridging the gap between biomedical engineers, doctors and hospitals. To enable timely patient diagnosis and treatment as well have value for money by prolonging the lifespan of medical equipment in hospitals by reducing waste due to equipment breakdown. Improving patient safety and care is key for biomedical engineers in a hospital environment however such services are expensive as hospitals are unable to recruit biomedical engineers to manage their expensive equipment hence medical equipment get faulty easily and lack maintenance.

Our Mission

“To train biomedical engineers, students and healthcare professionals with practical knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to effectively use, maintain and innovate biomedical equipment for advancement of quality of healthcare delivery.”

Our Objectives

To create awareness and need for biomedical engineers towards improving patient care and equipment management in hospitals

To train biomedical engineers, students, hospital technicians and staff on how to effectively use and maintain medical equipment/devices.

To restore functionality and life of medical equipment/devices and prolong their life span.

To fund and incubate research/biomedical based projects aimed at improving healthcare in low resource communities.
